Effect Sizes

Supervisor: Anna-Marie (ortloff@cs.uni-bonn.de)

Effect sizes are used in statistics to measure the strength of a relationship between variables, rather than just whether it is significant.

Your task

Investigate and summarize literature to answer the following questions:

What different types of effect sizes are there?

What is designated as a big, medium and small effect in general statistics literature? And what are the reasons behind this classification?
