Bachelor / Master - Projektgruppe or Lab - Interview study about attitudes on client-side scanning

Client-side scanning (CSS) is a controversial technology with significant implications for privacy, security, and civil liberties. Prior survey we have conducted showed that general population samples of both Germany as well as the US were in majority willing to accept CSS as a detection measure for serious crimes such as CSAM and terrorism. An interview study with participants who specialise in IT security showed their views to be apprehensive, but nuanced.

In this lab, you would replicate this interview study.

Your goal will be to recruit participants which are not professionals in IT security, but ideally in another specialised field that has a unique perspective of this controversial topic, such as law and legislation, ethics, social sciences, or law enforcement, among others.
